Fund Raising

We are always looking for new ways to raise funds for the charity. Events that we have held recently include: a barn dance, sponsored parachute jump, sponsored walks, spa evenings, car boot sales, private donations from indivaiduals and companies, book sales and recycling mobile phones. Many students have helped us with these events, and we also take students for educational visits to The Gambia to enable them to experience first-hand the life and culture of the country. Marilyn, the chair of the charity, visits schools when requested to give talks on the life and culture of The Gambia. In return, the schools will hold fund-raising activities with the children. Future fund-raising projects will include a hog roast, another sponsored sky dive and the endless run of car boot sales.
